Château Villemaurine

We chose to illustrate the underground discovery tour at Château Villemaurine by using Saint-Emilion’s main historical periods as our starting point. The tour begins with the town’s foundation in the 7th century, and retraces events through to the present day. Whether the visitor is exploring Emilion the monk’s cell, or on a battlefield at the time of Charles Martel, or at the end of the Middle Ages, the background music he hears heightens the epic atmosphere of these evocative scenes.
